Since the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) was implemented in 2012, many people are now unable to receive the type of advice they need and want, which is commonly referred to as the advice gap. In 2020 the FCA conducted a post implementation review of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) and Financial Advice Market Review (FARMR) and the findings, released at the end of 2020, have kicked off a major consultation.
